Grenada
The Spice Isle — where Caribbean warmth meets world-class wrecks, underwater sculptures, and reef diving unlike anywhere else.
Why Grenada?
Grenada sits at the southern tip of the Windward Islands, where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. It's a small island with an outsized personality — lush, fragrant with nutmeg and spice, genuinely welcoming, and home to two of the most unique dive sites in the entire Caribbean. Most visitors arrive for the diving and leave in love with the whole island.
The south coast — where we stay — is sheltered, sunny, and lined with bays and harbors that have been drawing sailors and divers for generations. Our resort is a 10-minute drive from the capital St. George's, which means you're never far from a rum punch, a fish market, or a sunset view over the harbor.
The Diving
Grenada, The Spice Island, is also known as the “Shipwreck capitol of the Caribbean,” with over 20 wrecks and 30 reefs. Grenada is also home to the world’s FIRST underwater sculpture park.
The Bianca C, one of Grenada’s many wrecks, is the largest diveable shipwreck in the Caribbean. This Italian ocean liner caught fire and sank in 1961 after a dramatic rescue effort that the Grenadian people remember to this day. She rests at 50–165 feet, largely intact, and encrusted with decades of coral and sponge growth. Diving the Bianca C is a dive bucket-list experience.
Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is the world's first underwater sculpture park, created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor. Life-size concrete human figures have been placed on the seafloor and are now fully colonized by coral and marine life — simultaneously an art installation, a reef restoration project, and one of the most photographed dive sites on the planet.
Beyond these signature sites, Grenada offers healthy coral reefs, volcanic rock formations, abundant tropical fish, sea turtles, and walls that reward divers at every level.
Aquanauts Grenada, our dive shop partner for this trip, operates out of the True Blue Bay Resort, where we’ll be staying, and recently won Scuba Diving Magazine's 2025 Readers Choice Award in FIVE categories. Plus, TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice three years running. This isn't just any dive operation. It's a family-run, eco-friendly, safety-first team that delivers world-class experiences every single dive.
Beyond the Dive
Grenada earns its nickname. The island produces a significant share of the world's nutmeg, and the scent of spice is genuinely in the air. Non-divers and off-days are well filled here.
St. George's — the capital — is one of the most picturesque harbor towns in the Caribbean, with a horseshoe harbor, colorful buildings climbing the hillside, and a historic fort with sweeping views. The Grand Etang National Park offers rainforest hiking, a crater lake, and Mona monkeys that have no fear of visitors. The spice estates in the interior are worth a tour if you want to understand what makes this island tick.
True Blue Bay Resort sits in a quiet cove with access to snorkeling, water activities, and the easy rhythms of Caribbean island life. It's a genuine escape, not just a base camp for diving.

What to Expect
True Blue Bay is a intimate, friendly resort — this isn't a large all-inclusive chain. The group size is intentionally kept small, which means you'll know everyone on the boat by day two and have the kind of trip where new dive buddies are made easily. Mornings are for boat diving; afternoons are yours to explore, relax, or go on an additional dive. Evenings gather around and swap dive stories, relax, or arrange a night dive.
True Blue Bay Resort & Marina sits on a sheltered cove on Grenada's south coast — rated one of the top three best-value hotels in the Caribbean by Travel & Leisure. It's charming, unhurried, and genuinely Caribbean in character.
The resort offers comfortable accommodations in Caribbean-style rooms with daily housekeeping, a pool, direct water access, and the kind of personalized service that larger resorts can't replicate. Aquanauts dive shop is steps from your room.
Room options include the standard True Blue room and an upgrade to the Cocoa Pod — a more private, garden-view accommodation that's a favorite among repeat guests. Full details on room types are available on the booking pages.
Included in your stay:
7 nights accommodations
Daily breakfast
Welcome cocktail party
Round-trip airport transfers

A dive trip is one of the best possible environments for advancing your skills — you're already in the water every day, motivated, and surrounded by good diving. If you've been thinking about learning to scuba dive or adding a certification, this is an ideal time.
Nitrox (Enriched Air Diver) is the most practical upgrade for a trip like this. It extends your bottom time, shortens your surface intervals, and makes multi-dive days easier on your body. If you're not yet Nitrox-certified, I can set you up with the training before or during the trip.
Other certifications and specialty courses may be available. If you have a specific goal in mind — wreck diving, deep diving, underwater photography — reach out and we'll see what we can arrange.
